Introduction to Teachers' House Swaps

Dear Colleague,

Our international organisation run by teachers exclusively for teachers gives you two exchange possibilities:

Home exchange between colleagues,
Exchange visits between colleagues,
and a new option: Accommodation to let, or bed and breakfast offered.

2005/2006 season: 6 types of membership

The membership is valid for the academic year, until the end of September. Whatever the type of membership you choose, it entitles you to have your offer published:

on the website until the end of September 2006.

in one of the 4 “paper” directories issued on December 1st, February 1st, April 1st and June 1st;

in one of the 8 “electronic” catalogues issued on the 1st of each month from December to July;

So, members can access the offers online and/or with the paper/electronic directories according to the type of membership they choose: see Types of membership

The membership is valid for the school year (October to September).

We have published over 20 000 offers from members since we first began 17 years ago. Generally, apart from France and French overseas territories, the largest number of members comes from Italy, Great Britain, Spain, the U.S.A. and Canada. Next come: Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic, Portugal, Norway, Sweden, Finland as well as countries of Africa, Australia, etc…

HOW THE SCHEME WORKS

We have many years' experience of publishing registers of members throughout the world.

Our colleagues are happy to exchange within the teaching community. They find our registers easy to browse, with hundreds upon hundreds of user-friendly listings full of precise information. Icons make the offers easy to interpret. In addition to valuable details about the home and its neighbourhood, and the interesting things to see or do in the region, you will be able to detect at a glance thanks to the use of icons that the offer comes, for instance, from non-smoking married High School teachers in their 40s, with a son of 12 and a daughter of 8,and no pets.

Publication online is virtually immediate.

The "electronic" directories of offers are published on the 1st of each month, from December to July. The deadline for inclusion of your offer is exactly 2 days before each date of publication.

The "paper" directories of offers are published on February 1st, April 1st and June 1st. The deadline for inclusion of your offer is exactly 7 days before each date of publication.
